Jake attended N.C. State University, where he majored in Public Relations and developed a passion for Journalism. In his time there, he ran the sports page as an editor of The Technician, NCSU’s student newspaper, and also worked as a Sports Correspondent for Raleigh’s News and Observer. Upon graduating, Jake moved back to Charlotte and pursued a career in sales, and now works as an account manager for a healthcare staffing startup. As a realtor now, his sales transition was smooth because of Jake’s excitement in seeing Charlotte’s roaring progress and continuing growth around the city. His love for the city grew and with that his enthusiasm in real estate grew even more.

Spending his summers playing little league baseball at Freedom Park, Jake watched his community transform rapidly in the early 2000’s. He saw neighborhoods such as South End, which he remembered as rows of colorless warehouses, emerge into the flourishing district that exists today. Over the course of just two decades, Charlotte’s metro-area underwent a metamorphosis. Cement office buildings were reborn into glass skyscrapers while modest neighborhoods became havens of revered architecture. The memory of Charlotte’s humble and not-so-distant past is what sparks Jake’s imagination as to what’s in store for the future of real estate in his hometown.

What Jake admires most about Charlotte is its people. The Queen City has thrived as a community that particularly revels in geographic diversity. People from all walks of life have contributed to the commerce, culture, lifestyle, and overall experience of Charlotte. Whether from another county, coast, or country, everyone has a story, and that is what excites Jake in his work. Jake offers a welcoming enthusiasm to his clients. He doesn’t just assess their needs, but steps further into their vision, knowing that the client is carrying themselves into a new chapter. Whether his clients are starting a family or moving alone to a new city, Jake dedicates himself to finding the perfect home that fits the way of life they envisioned.

When not working with buyers and sellers, Jake will always find something fun to do around town. He especially enjoys competitive games of tennis and basketball, pleasant post-work jogs on the South End rail trail, and therapy sessions at his boxing gym. All this progress from a seemingly active lifestyle is usually counterbalanced with some great Italian cooking, courtesy of his roommate. Most of all, Jake enjoys the company of close friends.
